Using an online collaborative platform to create a shared and evolutive database is at the heart of the project.

This means to integrate into a database and to spread on line the results of information extracted from research undertaken not only by the project partner teams, but also, at last, by all specialists working on warehouses.

The database is based on the developement of three "tables" (warehouse records, source records and bibliographic records), the table of “warehouse records" is based on a data model developed by researchers in charge of the programme. The system includes a mapping application and a multi-criteria search engine.

The aim of the project is at first to open access to database only to researchers participating in the programme. However, in 2012, the goal is clearly to open it to all Internet users, for a wide diffusion of the gained knowledge and a promotion of the research undertaken. Thus, this part of the programme is called to continue after 2012, by regular website update.
